Our Farmily
Life on a ranch means animals are part of your daily life in a way most people never experience. They aren’t decorations, and they aren’t disposable either. Every animal here serves a purpose, whether that’s providing milk, protecting livestock, producing food, raising young, or occasionally testing fences just to keep things interesting.
At PG Ranch, we call them our Farmily because while they’re here, they’re part of our lives. We care for them, work with them, learn from them, and sometimes build entire schedules around them. Ranch life isn’t always glamorous, but it is real — and we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Our goats are the G.O.A.T.
Our goats are at the heart of ranch life and play a major role in the milk used for Purely Goatique products. From bottle babies to experienced does, every goat has a personality, preferences, and a level of confidence that often exceeds their actual intelligence.
Some are affectionate. Some are dramatic. Some believe fences are merely suggestions.

The Cattle
Our cattle are a growing part of the Farmily and some of the gentlest souls on the ranch. We currently raise Holsteins for milk production and plan to slowly grow the herd through Angus crossbreeding as the ranch evolves.
Like all ranch animals, they each have their own personalities, routines, and opinions about how chores should be done. Some want attention, some want snacks, and some simply want to stand exactly where you needed to be thirty seconds ago.
Whether they’re out grazing, waiting for feeding time, or watching everything happening around them, they’re part of the rhythm of daily life here at PG Ranch.

Our Swine
Our pigs may only be with us for part of the year, but while they’re here, they’re absolutely part of the Farmily. Every season we bring in a pair that quickly become some of the most entertaining animals on the ranch — especially for visitors.
They’re curious, smart, dramatic, food-motivated, and somehow always convinced they should be involved in whatever you’re doing. Whether they’re racing to feeding time, investigating pockets for snacks, or turning simple chores into full-contact sports, they never fail to make an impression.
Like many parts of ranch life, their story eventually comes full circle, and when the time comes, they help provide food for the family. We believe part of respecting animals means giving them the best life we can while they’re here — and the pigs definitely make the most of it.

The Feathered Farmily
The birds bring a lot of life and personality to PG Ranch. Most of our flock is made up of chickens raised for fresh eggs, although around here, they do far more than just fill egg baskets. They supervise chores, follow people around the yard, announce absolutely everything at maximum volume, and somehow turn feeding time into organized chaos every single day.
Our turkey, Lurkey, is a sweet and slightly lonely hen who became the last survivor of last year’s predation losses. These days, she spends most of her time following the chickens around the ranch and reminding everyone that she absolutely deserves attention too.
Over the years we’ve also raised geese and peafowl, and we’re planning to add ducks to the Farmily this season as the ranch continues to grow and evolve. Ranch life comes with difficult moments alongside the rewarding ones, but every season brings new beginnings, new animals, and usually at least one creature determined to test the fences.
